Who We Are

Hi, we're Brideen and Deci, the husband-and-wife team behind Simple Tapestry. We're based in Belfast, grew up in Tyrone - Omagh and Castlederg so, yeah, two wee cultchies living in the big smoke.

We’ve been photographing weddings and elopements all over Northern Ireland, Ireland and beyond for over 15 years. We're particularly obsessed with Donegal and Sligo and love photographing the incredible landscapes in the west of Ireland.

When we’re not behind a camera, Brideen creates art prints using pressed Irish flowers at The Wildwood Press, and Deci makes music under his fancy showbiz name LMINL.

We believe weddings should be minimal stress, fuss-free and loads of fun.

Our Approach

Wedding photography should feel like the day itself - joyful, honest, and a wee bit unpredictable. We document things as they unfold, getting absorbed in the personality and craic of your wedding without interfering too much, if we can help it.

When you get your photos, we want you to laugh at the funny moments, cry at the emotional ones, and think ‘OMG I look cool AF’ when you see your portraits.

All we need from you is some time and your trust. We give gentle direction when needed (and sometimes alcohol), but mostly we just get out of the way and let things happen.

Everything on our site comes from real weddings. No styled shoots, no hired models - what you see is exactly what you'll get.

We have featured in Professional Photo Magazine’s Top 50 Wedding Photographers in the UK. And we were once nominated for Best Wedding Story in Europe at the Way Up North awards in Cannes.

Professional recognition is great, but the most important thing for us is the happiness of our couples. You and your families and friends are the people we want to impress. We pride ourselves on getting most of our work via referrals from past couples and their families.
