Wedding Photographers Ireland — Simple Tapestry
Who we are
We're Brideen and Deci, a husband-and-wife wedding photography team based in Belfast. We've spent over 15 years photographing weddings and elopements across the island of Ireland — from city weddings in Dublin and Belfast to remote coastal elopements in Donegal, castle weddings across Leinster and everything in between.
Every wedding we photograph is covered by both of us as a two-photographer team. That means more coverage, more candid moments, and a more complete story of your day. We specialise in relaxed, documentary-style photography with an emphasis on natural photos over awkward poses.
We photograph a limited number of weddings each year so that every couple gets our full attention. Your photos will be back with you in weeks, not months.
We know Ireland
We don’t just know it, we love it. We were both born here and have never wanted to live anywhere else. We love the people, the culture and the amazing natural beauty of this island. Growing up, we holidayed all over Ireland, something that we continue to do today. We've spent fifteen years chasing weddings from Donegal to Dublin, Cork to the Causeway Coast.
We're genuinely obsessed with the west of Ireland. Donegal and Sligo is unlike anywhere else in the world for us. It’s not just the nostalgia we have from childhood summers, but the genuine dramatic, rugged beauty of the Wild Atlantic Way. We've photographed elopements on Slieve League, engagement shoots in Sligo coast, and weddings in some of the most remote and beautiful corners of Connacht. If you're planning something in the west, we're probably already excited about it.
We know the big venues well too. Castle Leslie in Monaghan, Tankardstown House in Meath, Bellinter House in the Boyne Valley, Lough Eske Castle in Donegal, Rathmullan House on Lough Swilly — we've photographed weddings at all of them, many of them multiple times.
Places we cover in Ireland
The short answer is we photograph weddings all across Ireland. If we got half a chance we’d love to do an elopement on Skellig Michael. Nothing is out of bounds. When you’ve travelled to Greece, Spain, Iceland, Croatia and Italy for weddings, a wee jaunt down to Cork feels practically local.
Ulster — Our home province. Northern Ireland and the border counties of Donegal, Monaghan and Cavan are where we spend most of our time. Castle Leslie in Glaslough is one of our absolute favourite venues anywhere on the island — a sprawling estate with extraordinary interiors and grounds. Belfast City is one of favourite places for elopements. Donegal is our spiritual home for all kinds of weddings and couple shoots.
Leinster — We love Dublin and are there regularly for work and pleasure. Fallon and Byrne in the city centre is a brilliant intimate wedding venue. There’s an area from the North Dublin stretching up through the Boyne Valley to Louth which seems to have a million incredible venues — Bellinter House, Tankardstown House, Ballymagarvey Village, Clonabreany House, Segrave Manor, Castlebellingham… you’re spoiled for choice here.
Munster — The west Cork coastline, the Ring of Kerry, Clare and the Burren — some of the most dramatic landscapes in Europe for outdoor photography. Of all the places in the world we could choose to go on honeymoon, we went here. The Armada Hotel on the Wild Atlantic Way in Spanish Point is one of our favourite coastal venues.
Connacht — Sligo and Donegal are where we go when we want to be inspired. Markree Castle in Sligo is a beautiful venue with incredible grounds. A Donegal wedding is it’s own unique cultural event. Book yourself into one of its great wedding venues and get set for a whole experience.
Destination couples and Irish heritage weddings
Ireland is one of the most popular destinations in the world for couples with Irish heritage — particularly from the United States, Australia, Canada and the UK. If you're planning an Irish wedding from abroad, we've done this many times and we're happy to help with more than just the photography.
We know the island well enough to offer honest advice on venues, locations and logistics. We can recommend celebrants, florists, and other suppliers we've worked with and trust. And we understand the particular magic of coming home to Ireland to get married — whether that's a castle in Louth, a clifftop in Donegal or a pub in Dublin.
If you’re booking an Irish wedding from abroad, get in touch with us at the earliest stage and we can help you kickstart your plans.
What's included
All of our Ireland wedding packages include both Brideen and Deci as a two-photographer team, a minimum of 700 high-resolution images, preview photos within days, and your full gallery within four weeks. Travel across Ireland is included for weddings within two hours of Belfast — for venues further south we're happy to discuss travel costs, which are always reasonable.
We also offer social media content packages, fine-art wedding albums, engagement shoots and post-wedding shoots as optional extras.
If you’re planning to elope, we have several packages that include photos, social media video and the two of us acting as your witnesses. We’re also more than happy to offer advice, should you need it.
Feel free to get in touch and we can have a chat.
