Malone House is one of those venues that flies under the radar, but honestly, it shouldn’t. It’s a bit of an untapped gem. Tucked away in Lagan Valley Regional Park, it feels like a proper country house wedding spot, but without the hassle of trekking miles into the middle of nowhere. Classic interiors, loads of character, and some gorgeous views - it’s got everything you’d want, right on the edge of the city. It’s also a stone-throw from where we live, so we couldn’t know the area and all the best photo spots any better.
Immediately after their ceremony at St. Nicholas Church on the Lisburn Road, Emma and Manuel cut their cake and had a mini reception where (and this is a first) the bridal party mucked in and served all the guests. Top, top work! We then took the (very) short trip up to Malone House, still picking confetti out of our hair, our cameras, and pretty much everywhere else.
We’ve said this before, but October 2024 was basically the summer we never got. The sun was low, the light was golden, and Emma and Manuel fully embraced it. Malone House opens out onto Shaw’s bridge forest park - one of the most photogenic places anywhere in Belfast. The golden light, soft autumn colours, and an effortlessly gorgeous couple made for a dream of a photoshoot.
