Nine times out of ten, when I ask Deci how he knows someone, he’ll reply, “From the union.” That’s shorthand for Queen’s Student Union, where he’s worked for years. Honestly, it seems like half a billion people have worked there at some point. And yeah, of course, that’s how he knows Becky and Raymond. I got to know them properly in 2023 when we photographed Becky’s sister Sarah’s wedding (yeah, she's a Union person too) at Limepark, which is still one of our all-time favourite weddings.
This wedding was everything we expected - family-focused, and packed with craic from start to finish. The whole day was one giant celebration, with everyone in the mood for a proper good time.
One of the things we love about Clandeboye Lodge is how everything is so close together - you can have everything from prep to party in one locations. It’s got some great spots for photos (especially in autumn) without having to trek for miles away from your ceremony. This makes everything more relaxed and allows you to spend more time with your guests.
Becky and Raymond took advantage of the shorter evenings and good weather for some after-dark photos, and we took advantage of their patience to do a little light painting. This can take a bit of composure and Becky and Raymond were up for the task of standing statuesque while Deci ran around with lights in the dark.
