When people talk about planning their wedding, it's often a case of deciding if they need one year or two to get everything done. And it really can feel like it takes that amount of time as you fit in appointments and decisions around your working life. More recently, we've noticed an increasing trend for people to only spend 6-8 months planning their wedding. But, for Anna and Josh, a family illness meant that they only had seven weeks to put their wedding together. 53 days after enlisting the help of their fairy godmother, Claire from The Wedding Company, they were saying their vows in Omagh Meeting House in the Folk and Transport Museum in Cultra.

And here it is, their glorious Autumn wedding, surrounded by everyone they loved, with no compromises or shortcuts. And they had the absolute best time throughout. It helps that they're the kind of people that put their trust completely in others. This is always a massive compliment if you're a creative - when a couple just says 'work away and just let us know what you need from us.' Letting go of all the planning really lets you focus on the most important part of your wedding - the people. They immersed themselves in the conversation, the craic and the dancing, rather than having to wonder about cake toppers, lighters for sparklers, table plans and playlists - Claire was on hand all day to make sure everything ran super smoothly.

While the timing of the wedding was borne out of circumstance, the day itself was as full of joy and happiness and craic as any wedding could be. It was hard not to get choked up watching Anna's determined dad accompany her up the aisle, and we adored her pure joy when they drove off in the "sunshine car" - the name she gave to an old Mercedes convertible that belonged to her mum's friends, as a child.

Mostly, we're just happy to see two great people get the amazing day they deserved.
