Table names are a big deal at weddings. They’re often a way for couples to share their story with their guests—little pieces of their lives displayed on every table. Some go for their favourite books, albums, or movies, while others choose places or moments that hold special meaning. For Fiona and Garrett, it was all about their favourite places.
Among the exotic destinations and fine-dining hotspots, two names stood out: Laverys Bar and Harmony Palace, their local (amazing) Chinese restaurant. That says so much about Fiona and Garrett. While their wedding was the epitome of good taste and elegant style, it was also dedicated to the craic. These two don’t take themselves too seriously, and that spirit set the tone for their whole day.
They brought half of Belfast with them down to the stunning Tankardstown House in Meath for a spectacular winter wedding. If you know Tankardstown, you’ll know it’s the kind of venue that’s beautiful all year round, but Fiona and Garrett were especially lucky to get a perfectly dry day with gorgeous low sunlight.
Their humanist wedding ceremony was brimful of joy. As much as anything, it was down to their amazing friends and family who left their phones in their pockets and got involved at every step of the way; cheering, clapping, laughing and crying throughout.
If you're planning a wedding at Tankardstown, or anywhere for that matter, there’s so much inspiration here on how to keep it classy without losing the craic.
