When you have a wedding at the end of December in Northern Ireland, you just have to surrender to whatever the weather gods throw at you. Thankfully, for Kate and Jason’s wedding at the Ebrington Hotel in Derry, the weather gods served up a crisp winter’s day.
It was our first time working at the new Ebrington Hotel, and we have to say—it’s now one of our favourite spots in the North West. The venue itself is not only stunning but also cosy, making it the perfect setting for a winter wedding. Plus, the location is hard to beat. We loved the old cobbled streets alongside dramatic modern architecture. And being just a stone’s throw from the Foyle River with views over the city, you can cross the Peace Bridge into the heart of Derry in a couple of minutes.
We loved that their wedding was just a massive party. They got their photos done quickly and got to spend the reception with their families and 4 million friends - seriously, their friends photo was the size of some small weddings!
Kate deserves a massive shout out - despite the freezing December temperatures, she didn’t complain. She embraced the cold and, as a result, looked absolutely incredible in her photos. Oh, of course, you looked lovely too, Jason.
