Sarah and Christian got married in the old Majestic Cinema on the Lisburn Road in Belfast. The Windsor Baptist Church recently fully restored the building while keeping loads of nods to its cinematic past. Then, it was on to Tullyveery House. It felt like everywhere we looked in the distance, there was a rain shower happening, but it somehow missed Tullyveery until everyone was safely inside for the meal (and then it REALLY lashed down).
Sarah’s upbeat happiness was so infectious. I don’t think there was one part of her wedding day when she wasn’t giggling, laughing or having the craic - even if it was at Christian’s expense when she got into a fit of giggles when he put his wellies on. Then even more laughing as their dog, Thistle, ran rings around them as they were having their pics taken, with Charlie from Tullyveery in hot pursuit.
We loved how their friends and family put together the most decadent selection of treats and cakes at Tullyveery. And if that wasn’t enough, Sarah and Christian cut their wedding cake during the drinks reception and started dishing out slices of that too. We’d also like to state that there should be a law that all Northern Ireland weddings have to have a wall full of bags of Tayto!
