If you regularly follow our blog you’ll know that we love a Belfast City Wedding. This time up it’s our first ever wedding in the fabulous CoCo restaurant in the centre of town, a stone-throw away from Belfast City Hall. But we’ll get to that in a bit, first we headed off to Ryan’s native Co.Down to a little church by the sea, looking out onto the Mournes. I’m sure there are plenty of great beaches in Brazil, where Poly comes from, but Ireland can hold its own…

Poly’s family couldn’t make it over from Brazil for the wedding, so we wanted to make sure they got a real sense of the party through our photos. Let’s just say that having a cocktail bar on the beach straight after the ceremony really helped to lower people’s inhibitions. It was also maybe the reason why Ryan climbed onto a random tractor to get his photo taken after it blocked our journey.

And on to CoCo… we couldn’t have loved the relaxed vibe of the restaurant any more. Along with the likes of Cafe Parisien, Deanes, The Muddler’s Club, couples are really spoilt for choice when planning a Belfast City wedding. And what better way to decorate the tables that to have a Father Ted themed wedding with little bottles of buckfast for guests….

We were delighted not only to discover we’d mutual friends with Poly and Ryan (big shout out to McGunz!) but we also got to catch up with Ryan’s cousin Mark and his gorgeous wife, Anna, who we photographed last year in Tullyveery House.
